Rock: 'South African Killings Down To Poverty'

Comedian Chris Rock has condemned reports blaming a wave of killings in South Africa on racist violence - insisting they are motivated by poverty. More than 60 people have been killed and 100,000 foreigners forced from their homes in a series of unprovoked attacks by South Africans who accuse them of taking jobs and being responsible for the rise in crime. But the funnyman is adamant the murders are ultimately the result of a lack of wealth. He says, "It's broke-on-broke violence. It's broke people robbing each other. That's the sad thing."
